Natural Selection 2 Updated

Change

Reduced extractor death and Spikes tracer effect intensity.
Distress beacon sound has no longer a distance restriction.

Feature

Added capturing of dump information from the TechSupport.exe tool if NS2.exe is running.
Clicking an already selected hot group will cause the view to jump to the units position.

Fix

Fixed “runtime error” that occurred sometimes on map change.
Fixed bug where AI units could push each other off of pathable ground.
Fixed a bug where the microphone is muted until you enter sound options menu.
Reload sounds stop playing when a player drops a weapon or dies.
Fixed medpacks being created under tech points.
Fixed Commander double clicks preventing single click actions from being performed.
Fixed bug where vortexed Marines / Exos take damage inside Gorge tunnels.
Fixed bug where distress beacon could teleport Marines back to an already destroyed Command Station.
Commanders are no longer able to see projectiles from units which are not sighted.
Fixed bug where vortexed Exosuit can smash eggs.
Fixed bug where Commanders select/deselect units unintentionally the moment they perform an action (cast enzyme, drop medpack)
Fixed rookie status drawn in red in the scoreboard.
Fixed bug where you could switch weapons during building.
The camera will no longer jitter while waiting to spawn at an Infantry Portal due to players running over the IP.
Fixed bug where dead players could trigger taunt voice over.
Fixed resource towers / command structures being slightly offset on the minimap.

Balance

Increased Infantry Portal cost to 20 (up from 15)
Reduced nano shield duration to 3 seconds (down from 8)
Increased nano shield effectiveness to 75% (up from 50%)
Increased arms lab upgrade costs to 20/30/40 (was 15/25/35)
Reduced gorge tunnel research cost to 10 (was 30)
Reduced gorge tunnel cost to 5 (was 10)
Increased gorge tunnel armor by 100

Improvement

Added “fps” console command to toggle displaying the framerate on the top left of the screen.
Improved precision of marquee and Ctrl-Click selection.
Improved med/ammo pack drop precision.
Its now easier to give attack / defend orders on moving targets.
Changed the default player limit on the server if no parameter is specified to 16.
Steam Ids are now also displayed in the traditional format in the Server console (STEAM_0:1:XXXXXXX)
Changed the scoreboard font to match the other in-game fonts.
Added numbers in front of player names on scoreboard to facilitate communication.
Its now easier to hit with parasite (thanks Matso!)

Source Filmmaker 0.9.6.1 Released

Product Update - Valve
Source Filmmaker version 0.9.6.1 has been released. This update will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Animationset Editor:

  • added reordering selected animationsets in the animationset editor via drag and drop
  • added show scene hierarchy option to animationset editor, along with scene management functionality (grouping, reordering, reparenting)
  • added model/particle/camera/light icons to the animationset editor
  • added visible and selectable columns to animationset editor control tree
  • fixed body group menu in animationset editor to set body groups correctly (and by name!)
  • added Instance Particle System and Edit Particle System menu items to animationset editor's context menu
  • fixed multi-second hang when selecting animationsets with lots of controls
  • fixed control changes (deleting animationsets, for example) to update selection (and control sliders)
  • added copy/paste of animationsets with rigs and locks (although locks are removed in the process)

Timeline:

  • off-frame film clip detection now more strict
  • film clip operations should now force all modified film clips to be on frame boundaries
  • fixed UI elements from appearing to expand/contract while playing (especially noticeable with bookmarks)
  • extract phonemes now only extracts from selected sound clips, rather than all sound clips with waveform shown

Graph Editor:

  • locking transform controls now properly updates curves in graph editor
  • improved speed of creating keys
  • undo now preserves tangent types

Motion Editor:

  • paste samples now matches controls between different models if no model matches were found
  • paste samples now matches based only on control type if only one control is selected

Viewport:

  • fixed translation in motion editor when control's orientation (only) is locked to another control
  • camera manipulation now switches to the work camera if there’s no shot camera, instead of showing a warning dialog

Element Viewer:

  • fixed intermittent problem where tree items would be replaced with other unrelated tree items
  • fixed element viewer's Export Particle System Definition to put all child definitions in pcf file's definitions list

Script Editor:

  • script editor UI improvements
  • fixed script interface to return time selection in correct time frame

Misc:

  • added hint to nvidia driver to use dedicated graphics card in an optimus configuration
  • rewrote look and feel of UI by removing Qt stylesheets in favor of faster and more robust QStyle
  • fixed sound picker to list mp3s
  • fixed a variety of crashes
  • added plugins for Maya 2013 and removed plugins for Maya 2011

Fallen Enchantress Update Released

Stardock Entertainment is pleased to present the v1.20 update for its turn-based fantasy strategy game, Fallen Enchantress today. This latest update contains a number of balance changes, bug fixes, crash fixes, AI improvements and more.

Balance

Reduced Wealthy from +800 Gildar to +500 Gildar

Ancient Temples are more common and they give +1 Research per turn instead of +1 Mana

Pastures gives +3% hit points to all your units instead of increasing the grains of the attached city

Increased the default players on small, medium and large maps slightly

Increased the labor costs of bows and ranged staves

Fruit Groves, Twilight Bees, Wild Game and Whild Grain are now more common

Increased the amount of resources spawned

Monsters still raze city but it no longer salts the land

Twilight Honey now provides a faction wide -2% to unrest

Gold deposits are more common but produce less gildar

Grain provies 25 food instead of 20 by default

Modified rarity of different world resources and their availability to have more variety

Goodie huts are slightly more common

Shards are slightly rarer

Default turn limit reduced to 800 (from 1000)

Blizzard can be cast in an area will hit your units (and it will damage them)

Pioneers cost 30 population when trained



Fixes

Fixed a bug where the hit point bar wouldn't update when the crushing blow ability was used

Fixed bug where AI units would sometimes get stuck (like watching while their city was taken over or not going out to get goodie huts or going after an easy kill unit)

Fixed bug where AI knowledge trading didn't always reduce tradeable knowledge

Fixed an issue keeping the Growth potion from increasing blunt damage

Fixed an issue where the Paragon spell could be cast indefinitly

Fixed an issue where units will now exit cities in the best way to reach their specified destination

Fixed crashes


AI

AI more intelligent about when and what it builds in its cities

AI evaluates whether it should be training archers/catapults/mounted units more effectively

Fixed but that caused AI to disproportionately choose the first level up perk (like Assassin)

AI more aggressive about getting to goodie huts



UI

Fixed glitch that caused the arrow cursor to show instead of the hour glass when the player dragged the map between turns

Reduced ground cover on terrain with the exception of deserts

Added an icon to all the Refined techs to indicate that they can be researched multiple times

Fixed lots of typos

Resource tooltip no longer lists the tech requirement if the player already has the tech

Removed references to techs unlocking quests in the tech descriptions
